NMHSRA Queen

 

Magdalena “Lena” Lujan is 16 years old and an upcoming junior at Los Lunas High School.  Lena competes in barrel racing, Queen contest and plans to compete in breakaway roping, pole bending and eventually team roping this upcoming rodeo season.  She is a member of the National Honor Society and played junior varsity basketball and softball for the Lady Tigers as well as competes in horsemanship and western pleasure events.  Upon graduation, Lena hopes to attend NMSU to study agriculture, animal science, and business management.  Lena enjoys working and training horses and continues to expand her horsemanship skills by attending clinics and classes in multiple disciplines and plans to build a career around horses and rodeo.  She is the reigning Valencia County Junior Queen as well as the former San Miguel County Rodeo Princess.  Magdalena is honored to represent NMHSRA, the sport of Rodeo and the great state of New Mexico and is looking forward to representing New Mexico on the National/International stage as she competes for the title of National High School Rodeo Queen.
