NMHSRA Queen
Magdalena “Lena” Lujan is a 17 year old upcoming senior at Los Lunas High School. Lena competes in barrel racing, pole bending, breakaway roping, and the Queens Contest. She is a member of the National Honor Society and plays varsity basketball and junior varsity softball for the Lady Tigers. Lena also competes in horse shows. Her events are horsemanship, reining, western pleasure, and ranch rail. Upon graduation, Lena hopes to attends NMSU to study Business Management and Architecture. Lena enjoys working and training horses and continues to expand her horsemanship skills. She Plans to build a career around horses and rodeo. She is the former Valencia County Junior Rodeo Queen as well as the San Miguel County Rodeo Princess. At the 2021 National High School Rodeo Association National Completion, she finished 11th out of 43 participants from the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Lena is pleased to continue her reign as Miss New Mexico High School Rodeo Queen, as she will compete in Gillette, Wyoming to represent the great state of New Mexico as a two-time National High Rodeo Finals qualifier.
